From the Street of Ships
Wavertree is scheduled to return to a berth at South Street Seaport on Sept 24.
According to the South Street Seaport Museum:
“Beginning at 1pm, the Seaport Museum will offer free family activities on Pier 16. Wavertree will arrive to great maritime fanfare in a parade of ships at approximately 5pm.”
We’re happy to see that the waterfront and the maritime history of our city will not be lost from South Street. We want to give a special thanks to Council Member Margaret Chin and Borough President Gale Brewer for the help they were able to secure from NYC for the restoration of this great ship.
