The Sciame building at 80 South St. was acquired by The Howard Hughes Corporation along with some neighboring property and was flipped after a few weeks for a 110 percent profit. Crain's New York Business broke the news on Friday, Aug. 7. Chinese investors had paid $390 million for the right to build a gargantuan tower just outside the South Street Seaport Historic District.
